Cheerful Weaves
Laboratory for Joyful Dependencies

Stemmed out of ongoing conversations and personal thoughts shared since the spring of 2020, Cheerful Weaves – Labor für gelungene Abhängigkeiten (Laboratory for Joyful Dependencies) framed a self-organised process to reflect and experiment with collective practices of care. In the midst of the pandemic’s unfolding, intimate exchanges between friends waked a joyful militant wish to explore and acknowledge what mutual responsibilities and needs we share in caring for, with, of, and about each other, while holding together in a critical stance towards structures of power and dominance overarching society.
Cheerful Weaves took place the 12-19 September 2021 at Libken e.V.
Residency program with artists invited for the week (Olga Golde, Ronald Berger, Giulia Claudia Massacci, Marina Prados, Paula Knüpling, Katrin Fisher).
In collaboration with Libken e.V. and Paula Becker, Louis Mauff, Kim Sanou.
